Through a participatory approach in which the local community is called to step in actively (through participation in its organizing committee), the Marvila and Beato Interpretive Centre is being created in the Library of Marvila, aiming to gather knowledge about this territory and his material and immaterial cultural heritage, making it available to the public in an appealing, playful and innovative way.
The Organizing Committee includes historians, sociologists, social service technicians and residents. Five groups have been set up to gather information on the cultural heritage of each area and to identify people who can give a privileged witness of events, practices and experiences related to the history and cultural heritage of these territories.
